Bio
I love (almost) all things philosophy, but I am primarily interested in social & political philosophy, values in science, emergency and disaster management, and health care. I also have interests in feminist epistemology, philosophy of medicine, philosophy of disability, and the philosophy of biology and genetics.
I am currently writing my dissertation under the supervision of Dr. Cindy Stark on issues in emergency management: the state's obligation to mitigate and prepare for emergencies, politically legitimate values in science policymaking, the inclusion of Indigenous knowledge and values in fire management policymaking, and preparedness for public health emergencies.
I am looking to become more involved in public philosophy and love to collaborate, so I welcome inquiries about both!
Outside of philosophy, I like to play the drums, read, write songs, collect vinyl and CDs, cook, practice yoga, make cocktails, and nap.
